Eureka Stockade - "Eureka Stockade"

Eureka Stockade deliver their unique blend of indie-rock with energy, angst, emotion and grace. On paper it all looks rather simple; four scruffy musicians in a small rehearsal space, a couple of guitars and a rhythm section. But beneath the simplistic indie-rock ideals, hard-working Cambridge quartet Eureka Stockade have quietly been brewing a musical storm; joint frontmen Andy Brown and Rob Toulson have written an accomplished series of tracks that dip genres on a frequent basis, keeping the audience on tenterhooks with catchy melodies sitting comfortably alongside deeper, acoustic-led ballads whilst forever remaining rhythmically charming. As soulful as they are energetic, Eureka Stockade have slowly but surely created a buzz for their eclectic live performances, whilst the lengthy hours spent recording surface in the shape of their self titled debut album, released worldwide by Cracking Tunes on 6th December 2010. With enough driving passion to impress even the most cynical of listener, but with enough instant catchy hooks to become festival favourites, Eureka Stockade are a band very much living up to their potential.
