Tucker & Dale Vs Evil

Currently in select theaters and video on demand. On DVD & Blu-ray November 29th.

Have you heard the horror story about the teenagers who go camping in the woods only to be stalked and killed off one by one by crazed hillbillies?

Of course you have, it is about as clichéd as the genre gets. What is truly amazing is that co-screenwriters Eli Craig & Morgan Jurgenson are the first to take that cliché and spin it into something that is fresh, original, inspired, and hysterically funny, all while still staying true to the horror genre and not becoming a silly spoof.

In Tucker & Dale Vs Evil the hillbillies are the good guys, while due to a misunderstanding, the teenagers become the aggressors. Death, gore, and hilarity ensues.

First time feature director, Eli Craig, deftly made sure that Tucker & Dale Vs. Evil is equal parts horror film and dark comedy (think Shaun Of The Dead, or Evil Dead 2), while Alan Tudyk & Tyler Labine masterfully play the title characters as dimwitted innocents, thankfully eschewing playing them a caricatured stereotype.

Tucker & Dale Vs Evil is an ingenious twist on a horror film cliché, and among the most entertaining and funny films I’ve seen this year.

Film Synopsis from official wbesite

TUCKER & DALE VS. EVIL is a hilariously gory, good-spirited horror comedy, doing for killer rednecks what Shaun of the Dead did for zombies. Tucker and Dale are two best friends on vacation at their dilapidated mountain house, who are mistaken for murderous backwoods hillbillies by a group of obnoxious, preppy college kids. When one of the students gets separated from her friends, the boys try to lend a hand, but as the misunderstanding grows, so does the body count. TUCKER & DALE VS. EVIL has been a hit on the festival circuit, debuting at Sundance, and winning the Midnight Audience Award at SXSW, the Jury Prize for First Feature at Fantasia, the Best Director award at Fantaspoa, and the Best Motion Picture Award at Sitges.
