Jon Caspi & The First Gun - "the little ones"

How is it that "rock" radio isn't playing the hell out of Jon Caspi's new record "The Little Ones"? Is it because the radio doesn't play current rock and roll? Or is it due to the fact that there are really only "classic" rock stations left on the dial? If that's the case, Jon Caspi still qualifies. "The Little Ones" is a classic rock record, for those people that still believe in rock and roll. I still believe. Jon Caspi just released a half-hour testament to his belief. Keep on testifying, Jon. The world will catch up with you sooner or later.

Rating - 8/10. A solid rock and roll album, through and through.

Indie/Punk trio Jon Caspi & The First Gun share the roots of other Asbury Park, NJ notables such as Bruce Springsteen, the Gaslight Anthem, and The Bouncing Souls. They just released The Little Ones with a packed multimedia show in Long Branch, NJ in late November, 2011, and quickly showed up on top album of 2011 lists. The album was produced by Pete Steinkopf (guitarist of legendary punk band The Bouncing Souls), and the band just came out with a very rare flexidisk/postcard single.
