Les Trois Chaud - "songs of home"

Les Trios Chaud's "Songs Of Home" are like that phantom gas stop in the middle of the desert, where the grease covers the chrome, but you find everything you need to keep going. The rough-hewn guitars, the primal drumming, the America-As-Anywhere lead vocals coalesce with the charming, layered harmonies and downright moving melodies to serve you up a slice of indie, no depression sort of pie that should be on everyone's musical menu. Think Uncle Tupelo if they were smart enough to have girls in the band. By the by, nice mention of Voltaire.

- Jay Ingstrup

Note: This is music from a previous Les Trois Chaud album

An anachronism in this crowded world, Les Trois Chaud is a wanderlust's band from New Jersey who sing about dancing in puddles on the street, Candide and Voltaire, found love, eminent domain, heartache, and of course New Jersey.
