the point of this email is to share a recording with you.
i just got thru listening to two rough mixes i recorded with my fremd john thre other day.
john lives in plainfield by the way. a very normal guy with an extraordinary story. he came up in jimi hendix's studio electric ladyland over on west 8th. when i moved to nyc i would past that studio every day and just loiter in hopes that id see a stroke or sheryl crow or something.
it never happened, but john did win a grammy. when i was over his place he was clearin stuff off the piano and he was like hmmmmm where to put this and i looked at it and it looked like the soccer trophys i used to get and i said whats that and he said a grammy and i said are you kidding me and i said what for and he said i recorded the dave matthews track on that santana supernatural album and i said noshit and wr just carried on.
the song we were recording is called long time ago. some of u may have heard it before but not this version (higher fidelity). its about my life but i think it could be about alot of peoples lives.
