This album consists of songs that were written and recorded in basements, bedrooms, and garages, as demos, from June 2011 to July 2014. The versions you're hearing are rough, and meant to convey the emotion of the song as it was written.

As the story goes, it starts with a love like no other, goes to self doubt and despair, then on to breakup, infidelity, and eventually death, with a little bit of unwelcome outside opinion thrown in for good measure.

I wanted to record an uneven, emotionally jarring album of songs that sound like they were recorded in a bedroom. These songs were meant to be part of the next album recorded by Snowball 37, following "Declasse", but after working them out with the band, I felt that they would just lose too much recorded by a full band in a big studio on a Pro Tools rig. Hopefully I came close to succeeding in that.
