1. MESSAGE FROM LAZLO

I am totally feeling the love. We made it! Blowupradio.com has grown out of it's infancy and into the (hopefully not to) terrible two's. I need to thank everyone on this list for their support of Blowupradio.com, and everyone who came out and made our Anniversary Bash an overwhelming success. We raised a couple of hundred dollars for Toys for Tots as well as a plethora of toys which will go to needy children this year.

Special thanks go out to all the bands involved, the Churchills (thanks for being willing to play my little intimate shin-dig when you are used to playing bigger venues to bigger audiences & for taking the time to be interviewed last March by some nobody named Lazlo:) ), High Speed Chase (thanks for being loud and next time I'll come up there and sing if you really want me to), Val Emmich (thanks for asking to be a part of the show and then stranding your band in a recording studio to make it to the show), Logs in the Mainstream (thanks for being there early on with your support and for playing the always entertaining "with a little death on the side"), Nicki Jaine (thanks for being eccentric and scaring the bejeezes out of people with your dark rendition of "a few of my favorite things"), and Special Guest 13 Hands (thanks for coming down and doing a few songs, and for letting me make a fool of myself in your video :) ). I also have to give thanks to Chris Barry, Mike Grau and the rest of the World Beyond Network, without which this show would never have happened, Wayne, the very cool owner of the Broadway Central Cafe, and the guys in Where's Mary. Where's Mary where scheduled to perform Saturday night, but their lead singer was stricken with a virus and we hope he gets healthy real soon. Despite that, the rest of the band still came down to support the show, and that was very nice of them.

Ok, now that I got all the thank you's out of the way (if I forgot anyone, please E-mail me and I will send you an apology letter and beat myself a thousand times with a whip), let's move on to what the future holds for blowupradio.com. There are a lot of things on the horizon, one is the possibility of a few more DJ's coming on board so you won't just hear my voice on blowupradio.com between songs by the best NJ bands. More interviews with NJ bands are also forthcoming this year. I am also in the early planning stages of setting up more shows spotlighting NJ bands, and the possibility of a series of shows similar to VH1's Storytellers series, where bands or solo artists would tell the stories behind their songs.

Well, hopefully that was enough to wet your appetite of all that is forthcoming in blowupradio.com's 2nd year. As always, I am open to any and all ideas. Fell free to drop me a line at lazlo@blowupradio.com. Peace to all and thanks for your support.
