2. MESSAGE FROM LAZLO
Happy Memorial Day! I hope everyone had as wonderful a weekend as I did. Despite it getting really hot and my allergies being uncooperative, it was a great weekend. But remember folks, the real meaning of Memorial Day is to remember those who have lost their lives defending our country, and now more than ever it is important to not only remember those we've lost, but thank those who are still defending our country.
Ok now let's celebrate the big news for Internet Radio Stations this week. Congress did not pass CARP's recommended royalty rates!!! Woo-hoo!! Score one for the little guys! This means that for the time being, blowupradio.com will continue to be able to play the best music from the Garden State 24/7. There is a catch though, the committee of Congress which denied CARP's proposal (based on e-mails, calls and letters from people like you), now has until June 20th to come up with a fair royalty rate. Hopes are high that their rate will be much fairer to internet stations, but the battle isn't over yet, so please check out www.saveinternetradio.org, to find out how to help.
