I need to apologize to anyone who came out to the BlowUpRadio.com show last Friday that was supposed to happen at the Broadway Central Cafe. Now I hate to bad mouth people so I will just say that the venue made a mistake which caused us to be unable to do the show. I apologize to the three great artists that were supposed to play that night, Michelle Vecchione, The Atom Beat and Stone Soup, and promise to make it up to you at some point in the near future. Rest assured I always try to work with professional venues so these problems do not arise.
Speaking of professional venues, my thanks to everyone who came out for BlowUpRadio.com presents: Folk You! night at Rodeo Ristra last Wednesday. It was an overwhelming success due to the support of you the local music fans and the excellent performances from Debra DeSalvo, Chris Pierson, Joe Whyte and Gottstein und Buchbinder (from SSRi). As you can see above we already have a great line-up planned for our next Folk You! show on Wed. July 18th.
I'm going to take the rest of this space to remind you of a couple of cool non-music related things you should remember to check out on BlowUpRadio.com:
Jane Says ~ Jane Mustaine is our in house advice columnist who answers your questions about any and all problems. Such recent topics she's answered questions on include non-talkative dates, relationship woes due to musical tastes and coming out of the closet to your bandmates.
Almost Think ~ news from the fringe compiled by Damian Gonzalez. Here news stories that are not front page news but are either interesting, important or both are compiled. Recent stories you can find here include one on Nestle & Colgate working together to make plaque-fighting candy and a story on how crime increased in Bhutan when cable TV arrived in the fabled Himalayan Shangri-la.
That's all for this week, but...
BIG ANNOUNCEMENT NEXT WEEK RIGHT HERE IN THIS COLUMN Don't miss it!
