2. MESSAGE FROM LAZLO

Over the last 3 years, BlowUpRadio.com has given you a 24/7 webcast spotlighting the best of New Jersey's local music scene and links to NJ band's MP3s on their sites (among countless other things on BlowUpRadio.com).

It brings me great pleasure to announce that we have taken our support of local NJ music one step further as we introduce our new BlowUpRadio.com exclusive MP3 downloads!

These new exclusive downloads will consist primarily of songs recorded acoustically at the BlowUpRadio.com studio, as well as live recordings from BlowUpRadio.com sponsored shows (look for MP3 downloads from Folk You! shows in the near future).

We are very proud of the first two MP3 downloads we have to offer you:

Alana Q ~ "stuck"
As the frontwoman for the band Six to Eight Mathematics, Alana Q has a punk rock chick attitude and can rock with the best of them. But she also has a plethora of solo acoustic material that shows a whole different side of her musical talents. On January 17th she stopped by the BlowUpRadio.com studios to record nine of her acoustic songs (a CD of which will be available at her acoustic shows, including her upcoming Folk You! show on February 18th). "Stuck" is a song that will literally get stuck in your head with it's sad (and yet pop sounding) tale of a woman afraid to speak her mind.

Josh Van Ness ~ "for you"
The current lead singer of Souls' Release and former member of Van Ness, Josh Van Ness had a brief solo career in 2002. On April 21st of 2002 he stopped by the BlowUpRadio.com studios to promote his solo EP, "still here...", and played one of the most moving songs off of the disc, "for you".

Both songs can be downloaded here.

As always I would also like to take the time to thank everyone who came out to last week's Folk You! show. These shows have become very special evenings of acoustic music and it is a true testament to the talented musicians who perform and the savvy fans that crave hearing local acoustic music in a very intimate setting. Thank you all!

Peace,
Lazlo
