Message From Lazlo

This Saturday is the big event...the big party!

That's right folks, Saturday May 1st at the Court Tavern is my big birthday bash!

And what a line-up I have in store for this big show:

Dipsomaniacs - The Dipsomaniacs have not changed their philosophy much in the years since they first formed in Ron Mitchell's dank Trenton, NJ basement. In the mid ‘90’s these four friends formed to drink cheap beer and play the songs they love by bands like the Who, the Replacements, Cracker, The Beatles, The Clash, and the Ramones. The only difference now is in who’s listening, as the band’s hundreds of raucous live shows from the Northeast Corridor to Los Angeles have garnered a larger audience of fans who love the Dipsos’ particularly potent blend of power and melody.

Six To Eight Mathematics - What do you get when you add rock and roll to a twist of power pop divided among three musicians multiplied by a fierce energy and drive for the love of making music? Six To Eight Mathematics. Based in North Jersey, Six To Eight Mathematics take the stage with powerful energetic songs, coming together to add their feel to the world of rock and roll. Each member of this "two girls and a guy" trio bring his or her own random influences together as a whole to create catchy infectious songs about the comings and goings of love.

No Soap Radio - No Soap Radio is Danny, Diesel, Chris, and Pete, we’re a four piece power pop rock band from New Jersey that formed in the summer of 1998. In 1999, we signed a bullshit record deal, and remained trapped under contract for two years, with no record to show for it until, finally, the label went bankrupt. (Cuz that never happens!!!) In 2001, we gained the attention of media king David Chase, who featured one of our songs in an episode of his HBO hit series, “The Sopranos” This led to 2002, where we made our national television debut, when David asked us to play a rock band named “No Soap Radio” in episode 5 of last years Sopranos season. We’ve had the extreme pleasure of sharing the stage with great artists like, Butch Walker, Flickerstick, Dramarama, Screamin Cheetah Wheelies, The Push Stars, and many more. http://www.nosoapradio.net

Downshallow - Formed in December 2000, Downshallow came together and their chemistry was instant. Their sound comes from the school of hard alt/rock. Led by an emotionally melodic vocal style, Downshallow loves to incorporate hints of atmospheric, almost ethereal, soundscapes, all the while breaking down into good ol’ hard riffing rock n’ roll.

In addition to 4 great bands for a mere $7 cover charge you also get this exclusive new BlowUpRadio.com Local Music Compilation CD. Featuring 22 songs and over 70 minutes worth of local rock & roll, the CD compiles new songs with previously unreleased or rare tracks.

This CD will only be available at this show and then locked back into the vault here at BlowUpRadio.com.

4 great live performances, 22 incredible local rock songs on one CD, what more could you want for your $7???

You want a surprise performance? You got it. Make sure you show up early because somewhere in the first half of the show there is going to be a very special once in a lifetime performance that you will not want to miss! Trust me :)

Peace,
Lazlo
