Hey Everyone, So four more years of W... here's what I think happened... 51% of Americans got confused. You see with all the reality TV shows around, 51% of Americans confused the Election with a reality show and thought they were voting one candidate out of the country. Anyway, I used all my anger in a positive way and did a lot of work on the website and the newsletter. You can see that the Main page, Concert Calendar page and the MP3 pages, are redesigned to utilize more of the band logos, and this very newsletter will be doing that too. There will be some more changes to the newsletter in the coming weeks, BIG changes, but I'm not quite ready to let that cat out of the bag yet... But I am ready to tell you about another big BlowUpRadio.com show: presents This Saturday, November 13th 124 Church St New Brunswick 9:30pm featuring: maybe pete is a straight up rock band based in northern New Jersey with a sound best described as the Bowery meets Asbury Park. With influences ranging from Bob Dylan to the Sex Pistols, elements of pop, folk, blues and punk collide in maybe pete's brand of rock 'n' roll. Tall Days is a mix of bluesy-rock n roll. They took their name from the "Tall Days" parties that Black Crowes fans throw. Need to know more? Check out their Band Profile Funch is influenced by the spirit of rock and roll music as it was established in the 1950s by artists such as Little Richard and The Teenagers. Equal influence comes from the punk and metallic rock of the late 1970s and early 80s: early Ramones and Misfits, Black Sabbath, the Bad Brains, the Paul DiAnno era Iron Maiden, early GBH, early Motorhead... Rumor has it their brand new 10th anniversary "best of..." CD will be available for the first time at this show! Don Juan Destroyer makes, "great music that everyone would love. We're very original and I don't think we sound like anyone.", according to lead singer Shannon. I agree. Do not miss what I just learned yesterday will be Don Juan Destroyer's last show in NJ ever (you can read more about it on our News page). So come out Saturday, for what is sure to be a special night of rock & roll. Peace, Lazlo |
