BlowUpRadio.com presents Folk You! @ SICA
Aug. 13th

Message From Lazlo

Hey Everyone,

Where do I begin this week...

Ok, let me start with what's new in this newsletter.

That's right folks, this week there are two new features added to the newsletter!

First off, is the new Album of the Week section, which will let you know not only what the album of the week is each week, but give you a little bit of information on the artist. This week's Album of the Week is the wonderful new disc from John Taglieri.

The second new feature in the newsletter is Check Out These MP3s. Each week I will handpick 3 (or more) MP3s that I think deserve your attention, and tell you where to download them for free.

Just another way for me to help spread the word about all the great music New Jersey's music scene has to offer.

Next up, I want to thank everyone for coming out to Folk You! at The Goldhawk last Tuesday. Bobby Strange, Joe Condiracci, and Ya-Ne-Zniyoo all put on amazing performances, and it was great working with Jersey Beat again.

And the really good news is BlowUpRadio.com and Jersey Beat will be back at The Goldhawk with another Folk You! show on Thursday September 22nd. Just one of 3 Folk You! shows happening during September at 3 different locations, making September, "Folk You! Month"!

But we'll have more info on those shows when it gets closer. The next Folk You! show is at SICA on Saturday August 13th.

BlowUpRadio.com is also honored to be part of a big benefit show to save legendary rock club CBGB's on Thursday August 11th.

This is going to be a fun and important show.

In case you don't know what's going on with CBGB's, this article will get you up to speed on the fight to save the birthplace of punk.

One last thing to mention this week. I know it had been a while since I had written on the My Space blog, but I am going to try to keep more of a day to day journal on there about music and music related subjects. Of course I may also choose to vent about things like politics as I ended up doing today on the blog. For those who prefer music related writings, yesterday's entry had reviews of new albums from Michelle Vecchione and Particle Zoo. Enjoy!

Peace,
Lazlo

About John Taglieri

NOW, the latest CD by Leap Dog Music recording artist John Taglieri, reintroduces Taglieri to an audience that has become more enamored with this singer/songwriter with each new release. His third full length offering, NOW is a fresh, upbeat CD full of Taglieri’s take on life…getting what you want, and following your heart at all costs. The 12-song collection tells stories that will connect with his current fans and reach out to a new audience with an honest reality that seems fresh in this day and age of pre-manufactured music.
