Remembering Tommy "Buzz" Cartier

If you've been playing music at any of the rock clubs around New Jersey over the years, chances are you encountered the one and only Buzz Cartier, also known as Hot Time Harv or maybe you just knew him as Tommy.

He wasn't easy to miss with his ukele around his back and his trademark leather jacket. He'd likely play you a song on the ukele. Probably something like "God Save the Queen" or perhaps one of his cherishable Buzz Heavy lyrical muses like "Steel Toed Moccassin."

A singer, guitarist, actor, writer, or poet, Buzz pretty much did it all. And he always went out of his way to support everyone.

I am so sad he's gone. Me and my bandmates in Six to Eight Mathematics were lucky we got the chance to know him and call him friend. He was one of the most loving, most supportive, creative, talented cats I've ever encountered and he will forever be missed.
