Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a happy and safe New Year celebration.
2001 was one weird year, with some great moments, and of course horrible tragedy. On the local music scene we saw several houses that hosted live original music close (Hooligans and Melody Bar among others), while the Court Tavern celebrated it's 20th year and the Saint celebrated it's 7th year. We saw reunion shows from Tiny Lights, Spiral Jetty and Nudeswirl, and Highway 9 (who also changed their name from Samhill), Borialis and Little T & One Track Mike signed to major labels. It was a growth year for blowupradio.com and for me, as I learned a lot from doing this, and have met a lot of wonderful people.
Looking forward, I think 2002 is going to be a great year both for the world and NJ music.
One brand new thing for 2002, that's going to revolutionize the way you hear NJ music is that blowupradio.com is now webcasting in STEREO! That's right folks, I invested some more time and money to make the music sound even better on the webcast. The sound is clearer then ever, and now you can hear it in stereo, the way the artists intended their songs to be heard.
