2. MESSAGE FROM LAZLO

Well, 2002 is coming to a close. I hope everyone had as good a year as I have. 2003 is looking to be great year too. Come join BlowUpRadio.com as we welcome 2003 with a special show at Images Night Club. Directions can be found on their website, www.rockin-images.com. The fun begins at 9:30pm with a hot and cold buffet, champagne toast, a set by Don Juan Destroyer and 2 sets by Particle Zoo. And the show only costs $12!!!

As 2002 is coming to a close there are two things I have realized about myself that I would like to share:

1. I like to write a lot, and I will be putting more of my poetry up on my Poetry Page. Not all of it is new, some of these writings go back 10 years. I also added a Ramblings section to my poetry page which will be constantly updated with really short poems, scraps of unfinished poems and other odds & ends.

2. A good portion of my poetry is really songs and if I could play an instrument I could play the melody I hear for the words. But since I can't, I've never done much with these songs. Now I am ready to do something with them, so I am announcing right here, right now, that I am trying to put a band together. I am looking for serious musicians that want to collaborate with me to make my "songs" into full fledged songs. I am interested in diverse sounds. Some of my "songs" are written in the vein of jangly pop rock, others like hard rock. I may also want to have some mellower jazzy type instrumentals for some spoken word pieces. Basically I don't want this project to become to pigeon-holed into one distinct sound. I don't claim to be the world's greatest singer, but I think I can hold a tune. I am looking for musicians who want to practice and turn this into something that can play out on a regular basis.

So if you are seriously interested in working with me on this project, drop me a line at lazlo@blowupradio.com.
