BlowUpRadio.com presents Folk You!

Message From Lazlo

Let me just say, having allergies sucks!

To all of you who went down to the Loop Lounge last Friday expecting to see me co-host (along with Jared Migden of WRSU) a great night of rock featuring Souls' Release, Butterspy and Echofission, I am very sorry. While the show did go on (and I heard it rocked!), I was sidelined due to a bad allergy attack. This is the downside to running a site all by yourself, when you get sick, no one can go in your place. My apologies to the bands, and my apologies to any of you who were really looking forward to seeing me host (but admit it, no one goes to these shows to see me host anyway LOL!)

If you are actually one of those truly crazy people who do want to see me hosting, or if you are just a fan of really good live acoustic music, this Wednesday is another BlowUpRadio.com's FOLK YOU! show happening at
Rodeo-Ristra
230 Washington St (next to McDonalds), Hoboken, NJ (201)216-1550
*****THIS IS A FREE SHOW*****

And the line-up for this edition of FOLK YOU! is:

Rich Lancia (Parlez) ~ With a provocative blend of truth, power and sensitivity, Rich steps outside the normal boundaries of various musical genres and creates music with broad appeal. Catch the former frontman of Parlez in a rare stripped down performance.

Alana Q (from Six to Eight Mathematics) ~ As the singer/guitarist of Six to Eight Mathematics she rocks hard, as a solo artist she takes a hard left and let's her lyrics of love and loss have room to breathe with a more gentle guitar sound without losing any of the edge.

Chris Pierson ~ The former leader of the Angry Monsters & Velour 44, has put out his first solo demo of gripping and emotional acoustic music that sound even more so in a live atmosphere.

Jeff Devito (Particle Zoo) ~ As singer/guitarist for Particle Zoo, Jeff and the band play some of the catchiest 80's garage/new wave influenced rock and roll you'll ever hear. This will be a rare chance to see Jeff perform some new material the band has been working on, as well as some unreleased songs and fan requests.

Want more?

We will have limited free copies of BlowUpRadio.com's Local Music Sampler CD.

And if you are still not convinced, download and listen to some MP3s from past FOLK YOU! shows. There are new exclusive performances up from Gibby & Rad (from High Speed Chase) ("face the blame"), Jon Andrew ("me and someone else") and Jon Dacks ("I will be here").

Peace,
Lazlo
