Message From Lazlo

Hey everybody,

Cat Stevens isn't allowed into America because, "he was on a security watch list because of suspicions that he was associated with potential terrorists."...is anyone Islamic immediately branded, "potentially associated with terrorists" (or a terrorist themselves)???? Not only did the guy write the song, "peace train", but he's been active in peaceful causes and helping the world his whole life. Is this more, "you're either with us or against us" macho crap that our government is feeding us? Does that make me a terrorist too, because I sure ain't with them...

So what does all this have to do with BlowUpRadio.com and the local music scene?

Everything.

Whether you agree with my little rant above or disagree, it is so important to pay attention to what goes on in the world and educate yourself so you can vote...not just vote, but be an educated voter voting with conviction. Don't just watch the attack ads, or the soundbites on the news, really go out there and find out what the candidates stand for (not just President too, remember there are other seats being voted on), and educate yourself. Ignore the hype, ignore the polls and make sure you avoid the slander attacks that both sides are making. Learn about the issues and who stands for what you believe in.

And BlowUpRadio.com is involved with another way to have a lot of fun and learn more about the candidates too.

Lump N Loaf Records presents a "Rock The Vote" night this Friday at the Court Tavern.

That's right, hear great live music from The Number Theory, My Pocket Zoo, Greenlight Promise, and Forget Me Not Four.

Plus, you'll be able to register to vote (remember Saturday is the last day you can register to vote in the November election).

And on top of all that, I will be hosting and giving brief facts that will hopefully motivate you to learn more about the candiates and get out and vote! (I promise all facts I give will be as non-partisan as is humanly possibly...look you all know where I stand on this election, it's pretty obvious, but we all want this show to be fair to all sides)

So come down to the Court Tavern this Friday and "Rock The Vote"!

Peace,
Lazlo
