Hey Everyone, So Mother Nature just did not want Folk You! to return to Hoboken. My apologies if anyone got word too late of the show being postponed. The GOLDHAWK TAVERN Folk You! has been rescheduled for Tuesday May 24th with the same line-up. But for those of you who can't wait that long for another Folk You! show, you're in luck, as this Saturday we return to SICA for another night of acoustic rock and art here's all the info:
The show is FREE, and there's a parking lot on-site. So come down to the shore for a night of great acoustic rock. While at SICA you can enjoy the Characters: Scene I exhibt too. Peace, Lazlo |

INTERACTIVE SONGWRITING SHOW, WITH AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION GALORE In the last ten years, we’ve seen the Internet give traditional entertainment companies a run for their money. An independent artist can now get worldwide distribution of recorded material without the help of TV or a major record label. But an exciting new turn stands to challenge even the most engaging of reality shows – the ability to broadcast live over the Internet while attaining real-time feedback. Singer/songwriter Jason Didner...(more) |
Lazlo So many good shows this week, can I just pick them all? Well on Saturday is this month's Folk You! show at SICA in Long Branch, featuring Freddy Gomez of Green Machine, Paul Rosevear of Readymade Breakup, Mike Grau of the Marbles, and Arlan Feiles. But Friday night it's looking like the best bang for your buck is at Maxwell's with Hero Pattern, Lexington Down and the Milwaukees. If you...(more) |

Testa Two picks this week, although I also recommend the Milwaukees & Hero Pattern at Maxwells and the Groucho Marxists at the Court Tavern, both on Friday night, and the seldom-seen Slow Wire at Maxwells on Saturday night. Saturday, April 2 High Speed Chase, the hardest rockin' band in Hoboken, brings its electrifying metal jams to the intimate backroom of Jersey City's Uncle Joes. Also on the bill, Running Like Thieves...(more) |

Wien My pick for the week takes place Saturday night at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park. It's a benefit for the Surfrider Foundation with Raq, The Youth Ahead, Outside the Box, and the first appearance by New Blood Revival at the Pony in quite some time...(more) |

Migden My pick for the week goes down on Saturday, April 2. The Slow Wire returns to Maxwell's in Hoboken. The band's second disc, "The Golden Age of Treason" has been available through their website for some time, and hopefully this batch of shows kicked off by the Maxwell's gig will inspire the band to make the disc more widely available. If "Treason" is any indicator of the set the Slow Wire...(more) |
