BlowUpRadio.com & WRSU present Folk You! @
Indigo Coffeehouse Sept. 9th

Message From Lazlo

Hey Everyone,

Well if you're reading this newsletter you are probably a big fan of local live music, and will probablly enjoy these two announcements I am going to make this week as much as I love being able to tell you them.

So let's get to them

BlowUpRadio.com Live

A few years ago BlowUpRadio.com did a weekly live concert series. While it was popular, technical problems caused me to remove it from the schedule for awhile. Beginning September 4th I am proud to announce the return of BlowUpRadio.com Live!

Each week you'll get to hear one or more local bands recorded live in concert. Some of these concerts will be very recent, others will be digging back into the BlowUpRadio.com archives. I guarantee every concert will be one you'll want to hear, and that's why every weeknight at 9pm BlowUpRadio.com Live will air, giving you 5 opportunites to hear each show every week.

Here is the air schedule for September:

September also marks our biggest month for live concerts in our nearly 5 year history!

Here's a rundown:

On Thursday Septmeber 1st BlowUpRadio.com is proud to be a sponsor of Hoboken Rocks!, which is a free show that runs starts at 5pm on Pier A in Hoboken and features sets by:

Friday September 9th at 7:30pm BlowUpRadio.com is co-sponsoring it's first show at Indigo Coffeehouse (1208 Route 34, Aberdeen), along with our friends at WRSU. This free, all ages show features acoustic sets by:
Michelle Vecchione Chris Pierson Gary Paul Hermus

The next night, Saturday September 10th, we again work with our friends at WRSU to co-host Souls' Release's CD Release party at Crossroads (78 North Ave, Garwood). This show includes sets by:
Souls' Release Dacks Echofission

While all of these shows are very cool and not to be missed, Saturday September 17th will be Summer's Last Bash! This huge show (which is FREE & ALL AGES) will be co-sponsored by our friends at Jersey Beat, and take place outside & inside SICA (20 Third Ave, Long Branch). Check out the poster for it:

The outdoor portion, which will take place in SICA's parking lot, begins at 1pm and includes sets by:

Immediately following the conclusion of the outdoor part will be our regular monthly Folk You! show featuring:

And closing out BlowUpRadio.com's Live Music Month on Thursday September 22nd, is another Folk You! show at the The Goldhawk (936 Park Ave, Hoboken) co-sponsored by our friends at Jersey Beat. The show is free and begins at 8pm, with acoustic sets by:

About Amsterdam

At age nine, Amsterdam began jamming in Asbury Park, NJ and performing at clubs throughout NY and NJ - playing before audiences that included NJ's Governor and Bruce Springsteen. By age 15, he had already recorded his first album, jammed with members of the E Street Band, Phish, Les Paul, and Jimi Hendrix's Band of Gypsies. At 16 was also flown out to Hollywood to record an ill fated Dreamworks project that never saw the light of day. At 17 he recorded The Sore Score in his bedroom. These days Amsterdam is performing songs on and off of his major-label debut and spinning vinyl throughout the tri state area college scene and club scene. He is currently conducting press interviews and lining up promotional appearances in conjunction with the release of The Sore Score.
