The next BlowUpRadio.com Free Concert Series show @ Buddie’s Tavern (where the AC will be cranked better than it was last Saturday) is Saturday June 13th, and features sets by Ghost Town Trilogy, Thomas Marin, and Jim Testa.

About a month ago my friends from North Carolina band Beloved Binge reached out to me about trying to get a show on Saturday May 30th. Unfortunately every venue I reached out to already had a show booked that day.

So I said fuck, we’re gonna have a house party with Beloved Binge, and we’re going to webcast it live on BlowUpRadio.com!

So tune into BlowUpRadio.com on Saturday May 30th @ 3pm ET, for a live set by the band that put out one of my favorite albums of last year, “blender theory” by Beloved Binge.

Find out more about Beloved Binge at www.BelovedBinge.com

Pissed Off!

I have a bit of a conundrum this week. It’s around this time every year that I get pissed that the few good network TV shows that I enjoy get cancelled.

I mean granted, The Simpsons have been on more than half my life, and The Office is in no danger of getting cancelled, but every year great shows like Arrested Development, Futurama, and earlier this year, Life On Mars (which at least went out with a brilliant ending).

This year, 2 of my 3 favorite low rated shows have already been renewed, and the third, which had long been rumored of being dead, may yet (hopefully) live on in syndication.

Dollhouse: I’ll be the first to admit that this show started off poorly, but it was the brainchild of Joss Whedon (who created brilliant series with Buffy The Vampire Slayer, and Firefly), so I gave the show more time then I would have normally. I’m glad I did, because by episode 6, the show really found it’s footing, and I can’t wait to see what they do next season. While I’m glad Fox gave it another season, did they really have to leave it on Friday’s at 9pm…after two sitcoms??? Wouldn’t it have made more sesne to pair it with Human Target??? Idiots! But nice idiots that renewed a show I like.

Better Off Ted: This show is such an off-beat comedy, I’m surprised it ever made it to series in the first place. This is definitely a show that will leave some people laughing hysterically, and others changing the channel saying the show is dumb or odd. Odd yes, dumb…not to me. Kudos to ABC for giving the show another season! However, pairing it with a 9th season of Scrubs…look, I really like Scrubs, but the end of the 8th season was the series finale and did such a good job of putting closure on the series. I’m just not sure how I feel about another season (especially with Zach Braff & Sarah Chalke only signed to do 6 transitional episodes). I hope this new season doesn’t sully the 8 great seasons it has had.

My fucking piece of shit computer locked up and apparently ate everything I wrote about Reaper. Let me just say it was brilliant! My best writing ever…but thanks to my computer you will never get to read it. I can’t possibly re-write anything nearly as brilliant as the text that was deleted by my fucking piece of shit computer.

I guarantee you it was way better than the colorful language of, “my fucking piece of shit computer”.

In short…

Reaper good show, very entertaining.

Ray Wise is the definitive Devil, accept no substitutes.

Reaper going to be cancelled by CW…boo, hiss…

ABC Studios (production company for Reaper) is trying to set up season 3 of Reaper in syndication…YEAH! (keeping fingers crossed)

Reaper still has 2 episodes left, watch them Tuesdays at 8pm on CW

So there you have, rather than try to re-write my masterpice about Reaper, you get the caveman’s cliff notes.

Tune in next week to see if I get pissed off if Reaper isn’t picked up for a 3rd season…

That's all for this week folks.

Peace,
Lazlo
