Hey Everyone,

Today would have been the 72nd birthday of John Peel.

Some of you probably have no idea who John Peel was.

For me, he was one of the three DJs that influenced me to become one.

He stood for the motto I use on Lazlo’s Den, “support good music”.

We lost an amazing supporter of music nearly seven years ago, and I lost a mentor that I sadly never got to meet.

I highly recommend you seek out his biography, “Margrave Of The Marshes”, started by him and finished by his family after his untimely death.

I will never be as talented or well known as John Peel, but I try to honor his work every day by supporting good music, like he did.

"Teenage dreams, so hard to beat"
from the lyrics of "Teenage Kicks" by The Undertones
