Hello my friend,

This Saturday, June 13th, is the kick off for's Free Summer Concert Series!

There is no better place to see music outdoors this summer than outside Espresso Joe's overlooking the water and the sunset (weather permitting. In case of rain the show is moved inside Espresso Joe's).

This is an opportunity to see some great electric bands, in a lovely outdoor environment!

This month's show features Tommy & The Kooks, September's Ghost, and Casino Sundae!

The show is free, all ages, and starts at 7pm sharp.

Espresso Joe's is at 50 West Front Street, in Keyport, NJ.

As you may have noticed, I (Lazlo) tweet a lot about music @Lazlo_BUR. For those of you who do not follow, I have started including links to the tweets on under the heading, RECOMMENDATION. Check them out, and better yet, check out the music I am talking about!

Lazlo’s Corner

When I first started 15 years ago, I think my computer's hard drive was 2GB...which seemed like a lot at the time.

I was thinking about that this weekend as I started (what is likely to be a long process) of reorganizing my cramped, little, studio.

I have thousands (maybe tens of thousands?) CDs, stacked every which way, into every knock and cranny, of this studio, leaving very little room.

And yet I have all of them converted to MP3s on a TB external drive that fits in my hand, and weighs only a couple of pounds.

I love my CD collection, and would never part with it...I hope many (many, many, many, etc.) years from now when I die that the CD collection will make up a music library somewhere in NJ for others to hear the music (good & bad...mostly good) that I have amassed over the years. I could never part with it, but it would free up so much room if I did.

So now I sit here staring at the piles of CDs everywhere, and the small external drive that holds MP3s of all of it.

Is there a point to this? Maybe so, maybe not.

"think of me what you will, I've got a little space to fill" - Tom Petty
