Lazlo's Corner

BlowUpRadio.com's Stay The F*** Home Fest was a huge success! With the help of 45 musical acts, we put together a virtual music fest in under 2 & 1/2 weeks. If you had asked me Wednesday night, I probably would have said it was all going to fall apart as I rushed to try to put a schedule together (which wasn't finished until about 18 hours before the festival started).

I can't thank every musician involved for making this possible! I never take for granted how lucky I am that so many talented musicians jump at the opportunity to be a part of things like this that I put together.

And thank you to everyone who listened to the festival. Because if a virtual festival happens and no one listens, did it really happen? Well I know a lot of people listened, and many sent notes of thanks for putting on the fest because it was the pick me up they needed. I think we all did. And if this lockdown goes on as long as some estimates are saying we may do another festival.

But sooner than that, I am reaching out to musicians with another idea:

I am thinking of starting a weekly song challenge, where I'd send out an e-mail with an idea (a topic for a song, a style of music, covering a song... I have lots of ideas & I am open to suggestions too), and give you a week to record a song around that idea and send to me. Then I would play them all back on the air as a special. And of course you could also release these songs as singles and hopefully make some money off of downloads.

If you are interested, e-mail me. Thanks!
