Lazlo's Corner

Today I want to shine a spotlight on a local musician's GoFundMe page.

If you are a regular listener of you are probably already familiar with Laree Cisco. He has put out a lot of catchy, Motown influenced, singer-songwriter alt-rock (, and been a part of a number of shows and webathons for causes like the Spondylitis Association Of America and National Foundation for Transplants.

But now Laree and his mom are going through some tough times and health issues, and due to an unscrupulous mortgage company, may lose their home.

I don't want to try to cliff notes/spark notes their story. You can read their full story and donate here:

Sometimes we all need a little help.

I hope you will consider donating a little money to help if you have the means to do so.

Thank you

Musicians: is preparing for our third annual benefit for the National Foundation For Transplants ( this March.

The NFT saves lives by removing financial barriers that delay or prevent organ transplantation.

There are 2 ways to be involved:

1. Looking for musicians to pre-record a 30 minute live audio performance exclusively for broadcast during the benefit. The performance should be predominantly original songs (1-2 covers is okay), and should not reference being pre-recorded so when it is broadcast people won't hear a bunch of artists saying they pre-recorded. Pre-recorded sets will be due by February 16th.

2. I am looking for previously unreleased original songs (which can include acoustic or live versions of previously released songs, remixes, etc.) for this year's compilation. I ask that all songs be original (no covers) and that they remain exclusive to the compilation until June 1st, 2024 (3 months from the webathon). The songs will be due by February 16th, but if you have something ready, please feel free to send it now.

If you are interested, or have questions, please let me know.
