Lazlo's Corner
I have been hard at work lately on this year's Banding Together benefit for the Spondylitis Association Of America (happening in October on BlowUpRadio.com).
We will also be celebrating BlowUpRadio.com's 25th anniversary during the webathon.
The compilation this year is going to be a box set of music we've played on air over the last 25 years.
That's right, I said box set.
I can't wait to tell you all the amazing artists that have contributed songs to the compilation that you will be able to get a download of by donating to the Spondylitis Association Of America, but it is still a work in progress at this point.
As is the digital booklet that is going to come along with the compilation, with info on each artist on it. I am also hoping to include a bunch of photos from the last 25 years that I am finding on my computer.
While I catalog my music files meticulously, I am finding I was not so detail oriented in filing photos. Many of them are just letter & number codes that mean nothing and I have to look at each photo to figure which band it is, and where/when it was taken... which is leading to, oh that's a picture of me with a band in the BlowUpRadio.com studio... let's say around blank year, basing the timeline on how I look in the photo (for many years I had a soul patch that I know cringe at when I see pictures of me with it) and how the studio looked at the time.
I can also piece some time frames based on the band... oh they were a band from blank year to blank year, or that guy was only in the band for this album that came out in blank year.
So I've made a lot more work for myself, but I want this compilation and booklet to be something special, so I'm going to try to catalog and use as many photos as makes sense.
Stay tuned...
